Bath Towel Donation Activities
Coinciding with Respect-for-the-Aged Day and as part of efforts to celebrate the elderly, AS’TY Inc. donates bath towels to nursing home welfare facilities each year. 2015 marks the 45th such donation drive, which has continued uninterrupted since 1972. As a gesture of respect this activity is well received by the aged and the company intends to continue donating each year into the future.
F.D.C. Products Inc. has held its Academy Toreutics Workshop each year since November 2008 as a part of the company’s social contribution program. Open to the general populace, participants drawn from public applications are provided with the opportunity to experience firsthand the art of creating jewelry in actual craft workshops.
In addition to providing scholarships for students wishing to study overseas, YONDOSHI HOLDINGS actively encourages employees to participate in cleanup programs and volunteer activities.
Supporting Areas Devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake
The YONDOSHI HOLDINGS Group initiated donation collection activities at each of network of stores. As a part of the 4°C LOVE JAPAN Reconstruction Support Project, 1% of the Group’s sales between April 29, 2011 and May 29, 2011 and was donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society to help devastated areas.
Employee Volunteer Cleanup Activities
Each month AS’TY employees participate in a cleanup of the company’s immediate surrounds as a part of efforts to contribute to the local community. This activity continues to spread to neighboring companies, while in-house employees are growing increasingly aware of the need to separate rubbish. At the same time, the company is active in the collection of pull-tab PET bottle caps, which are donated to non-profit organizations. These caps are in part exchanged for wheel chairs and polio vaccines, while their disposal as waste contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions an integral feature of AS’TY’s ecology-conscious activities.
