Wood

Emperion uses only the best select tone woods to enhance the sound and appeal of each instrument. Carefully selected Alder is used on the body to produce a tight and defined sound, and North American Hard Rock Maple provides a bright articulate tone. In addition a fingerboard of selected Ebony adds a warm vibe and density to the overall tone response of the instrument.

Speed Access set neck joint

This kind of set-neck construction technique gives you the look and feel of a neck-thru-body design while maintaining the warmth and wood tone combinations of a set-neck instrument. Access to the upper frets is as much comfortable as possible. And the old traditional “bulky” set-neck heel is gone.

Neck-thru-body and String-thru-body

With Neck-thru-body construction the strings, fretboard, pickups and bridge are all mounted on the same piece of wood enhancing tone and sustain. We feature a walnut-maple neck throu construction and thanks its excellent stability and reaction to string tension and pressure makes the guitar more sturdy than many other guitars on the market. If you add a string-thru-body configuration where string actually "sink" into the body you'll have the maximum sustain possible with a great harmonic resonance for a deep "chunky" sound.

Two-way truss rod

All of our instruments are built using a 2-way adjusting truss rod. Unlike a single-adjusting truss rod which is still commonly used on many other manufacturersÕ instruments, the two-way one is adjustable both clockwise and counter-clockwise. With a single-adjusting truss rod, once you loosen the nut all the way, that is it. You are left with no more adjustment Ð this can leave your instrument unplayable if the neck cannot be adjusted properly. By using a 2-way truss rod we have eliminated the possibility of that ever happening.

Compound Radius Fretboard

All Emperion guitars features a a conical shape with a 10"-16" compound radius. This feature is usually found on high-end market guitars, keeps your hand relaxed on a "easier to play" fingerboard, from ultra low action shredding to ultra tight rhytmn and chording!

EMP pickups

EMP pickups stands for "Emperion Pickups". Those pickups are mounted on all of our instruments and are the perfect choice for the price/quality ratio, great tone at an affordable price.

Bare Knuckle pickups

Bare Knuckle pickups are nothing but the best that can be found on the market nowadays, used by some of the most famous guitar players out there. Those pups are hand-wounded and handcrafted in the UK for a superior and unique tone, possibly the best sounding pickups ever. Different models available as upgrade (professional installation free of charge !) on every Emperion guitar.

Graphite nut

All of our instruments feature a self-lubricating Graphite Nut that further ensures increased sustain and vibration through improved transfer of energy to the neck, not to mention less friction to maintain a great tuning stability and avoid string breakage.

GOTOH-Wilkinson tuners

All of our instruments are equipped with a 18:1 ratio Wilkinson by GOTOH tuners. These one are an excellent choice in terms of price/quality and can offer great tuning precision and stability, together with a graphite nut and a roller bridge it assures your guitar to stay in tune as much perfect as possible.

GOTOH-Wilkinson roller bridge

We have equipped all of our six string fixed bridge guitars with a Wilkinson by GOTOH tune-o-matic style bridge with roller saddles. When you're chording or bending the strings those roller saddles move back and forward, his is a useful feature to acquire a great tuning stability (together with the self lubricating graphite nut) and avoid string breakage.

Original Floyd Rose

We haven chosen to use the Original Floyd Rose on tremolo equipped guitars instead of a licensed model. That is simply explained: no licensed model can provide the same excellent build quality, materials and stability of a Original Floyd Rose, so you can get a tremolo equipped guitar that stays in tune, provides great sustain and rich sound. Not to mention the so famous flutter effect that you can experience only with a Original Floyd Rose tremolo system.

Kahler 2327 Professional Line tremolo

This type of tremolo system is equipped on our seven string guitars, with this one you get 2 in 1 bridge systems! Do you like a fixed bridge system or simply you want it to change easily your strings and/or tuning? No problem! Just tight the screw with an allen wrench on the rear of the bridge and you have ready to go. Want a tremolo? Just loosen the screw and experience the smooth feel of the Kahler tremolo. Kahler has come back after some years and its cam operated tremolo system was really popular during the 80s.It is common opinion that no other bridge can beat the smooth feeling of a Kahler bridge when using the tremolo. Other strong points of this particular system are its design studied for maximum harmonic transfer, six ways individually adjustable saddles, for a totally custom configuration of your guitar in terms of action, string spacing for EVERY string ! You can even set the arm tension you prefer to fit your playing style and technique. If you add to all this great features the best construction materials of the USA made Kahler Professional Line tremolos you get nothing less than a superlative bridge.
