Vader Cabinets

Vader Cabinets, Inc. was started with three simple things in mind. Build a cabinet that was far more powerful than anything else on the market, It had to be a better looking cabinet, and best of all, it had to be affordable.

Why use Vader?

Speakers
After months of research, we finally found a speaker that proved itself to be a true powerhouse, while still holding perfect clarity, to get your sound out in front of the band with style. Genuine Eminence Legends. "Tuned by skilled ears, these hand-built specials feature a range of materials and ideas from nearly 40 years experience, with state of the art designs which meet modern day demands for power handling."

Construction
Construction of these cabinets consists of 3/4 inch birch plywood, braced together using remarkably strong routed box joints, and all cabinets being internally framed to guarantee the most rigorous abuse.

The Look
Vader Cabinets had to have their own stage prescence. They had to demand attention. I went with an indestructable expanded steel grill. Vader Cabinets also come standard with removable casters and recessed handles, spray on tour guard, and topped off with a highly polished silver logo.

Durability
After seeing many of our touring band’s cabs all ripped up we decided to see what we could do about this. We started to use a spray on texture similar to what you see in the back of pick up truck beds. We sent out a few of these cabs on the road with some of our hardest touring bands and told them not to case them and don’t show them any special treatment. After all their tours ended, they came back flawless!! This stuff is virtually indestructable to any type of road abuse and in theory, your cab should look the same in 20 years as it did the day it left our facility. We spray the shell, grill, and the backplate making the entire cab tough as nails!!. Lastly, we would just like to add that too many companies these days have massive factories and their only concern is pumping out product. We truly care about every cabinet that we make, and feel that you do to. Every cabinet that we build is hand built from the ground up with pride. And being hand built insures us that we are making a quality product that can last you a lifetime.

FAQs

Will my guitar head power these cabs ok?
Yes. I know of people running 50 and 60 watt heads with our 480 watt 4x12 and it sounds great!! Power ratings of guitar heads is a little differant than pro audio applications where you want to try and match your power amp to the speakers. The power amp in a guitar head is all rated before the preamp. Once you add the eq, gain, and everything else into the mix it changes everything. With our cab's high power ratings, it's just a matter of having extra headroom in the cab. Some people like the added "peaking" sound of distorted speakers (better known as speaker break up) in lower wattage cabs, but this is very hard on speakers and will eventually blow them. We like to build high power cabs so you get the true tone out of your head. This also ensures the speaker life. With a high powered cab you wil also get a much tighter punchier sound.

Can you compare the sound of your cabs with any others?
I've owned several cabs in my life and I knew what I hated with each one of them. That's obviously why Vader Cabinets was started. I will tell you this though. Most of our cabs are slightly larger than most. By doing this it allows for more capability of low end in your sound. It won't add bass to your sound or "color" it in any way, but it will give you the capability of handling it if you wish. Also since our speakers are a lot higher powered than most, the speakers are tighter. This will give you a punchier tone. This is why alot of the really technical guitar players love our cabs. They can get extremely loud, have a good thick tone, and still have every note being picked come out crystal clear with plenty of defintion.

Will these cabs sound good for other types of music other than metal?
Yes. I know of 2 blues players off hand that use these cabs and love 'em!! The 12 inch speakers we use are similar to a modeling speaker, so they are meant to sound good with many differant types of eq settings including clean tones. Again clarity is key...
